This Privacy Policy explains how Ensis Innovation Pvt. Ltd. (“Ensis,” “we,” “us” or “our”) handles information in connection with our website at ensis.io and the products and services we provide, including the MillTrack web and mobile applications (collectively, the “Services”).
1 Who we are
Ensis Innovation Pvt. Ltd. is a software company based in India. We build operational software for industrial businesses. For any privacy-related question, contact us at [email protected].
For our MillTrack product, the mill or business that uses MillTrack is the controller of the operational data it records (its purchase orders, deliveries, weights, quality readings and settlements). Ensis processes that data on the customer's behalf to provide the Service.
2 Information we collect
Website
Our website is informational. We do not require you to create an account or sign in to browse it, and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may process standard technical request logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to deliver and secure the site.
Products and services
When you use MillTrack or otherwise engage our Services, we may collect:
- Account & contact details — name, role, email address and/or phone number used to provision and support access.
- Operational data you enter — the business records you create in the Service, which may include supplier, broker and transporter details, vehicle numbers, weights, quality readings, amounts, photographs and attachments.
- Usage & device data — log and diagnostic information needed to operate, secure and improve the Service.
We do not knowingly collect special-category personal data, and we ask that you not enter such data into the Services except as required for the legitimate operation of your business.
3 How we use information
- To provide, maintain, secure and improve the Services;
- To authenticate users and enforce role-based access;
- To respond to enquiries and provide customer support;
- To detect, prevent and address technical issues, fraud or abuse;
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use customer operational data for advertising.
4 How information is shared
We share information only as needed to run the Services:
- Within your organisation — according to the roles and permissions your organisation configures.
- Service providers — trusted infrastructure providers that host and operate the Services (for example, cloud hosting, database and storage providers), bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Legal reasons — where required by law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety and security of Ensis, our customers or the public.
5 Data retention
We retain personal and operational data for as long as needed to provide the Services to your organisation and for the period required to meet our legal, accounting and contractual obligations. Customer operational data is retained per the customer's agreement; on termination, data is deleted or returned in accordance with that agreement.
6 Security
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk — including encryption in transit, access controls and role-based permissions enforced on the server — to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration or loss. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to any incident.
7 Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, update or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because much of the data in MillTrack is controlled by the customer organisation, please direct such requests to your organisation; where Ensis is the controller, contact us at [email protected] and we will respond as required by law.
8 Children
Our Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9 Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
